The Challenges

Creating Multiple Customized Modules

As the CRM had to be created for Water Treatment Plants, it had to display diverse functionalities for the salespersons to have systematic navigation to product pages, account information, installation details, help and support etc.

Designing the Admin Panel

An admin panel having multiple functionalities had to be created using CakePHP. It had to include general modules, workflow reports, attribute management, account details etc.

Attribute Categories

Attribute categories had to include information about the details of the plants, the property on which the plant is located, details about the plant/product etc.

Integrated assistance

The help and support module was required for getting rid of the bugs that came up on the front end of the website. It also required a calendar in order to set timelines for resolving bugs.

Plant Installations

As the company provides water treatment plants, the CRM asked for an installation dashboard that includes information about the new installations and the sales person responsible for the plant. An advanced search facility for the product was also asked for.

The Solutions

Implementing Multiple Modules

This CRM was crafted from the scratch using CakePHP framework. Different modules were created including Accounts, Contacts, Advanced Search as well as Help & Support.

Creating the Admin Panel

The entire admin panel was crafted in a way that it could manage the activities of the company by logging in. It also kept records of addresses, phone numbers, installations and products which were further sub-categorized.

Attribute Management

A search panel was created in the CRM wherein one can search for OVIVO attributes. There were different sections created to feed the Name, value and unit and actions for water treatment plants.

Bug reporting

The ‘Submit Report Bug’ section was created and subcategories were added to give the title of the bug, its description, requested due date as well as image uploading facility.
